Leading global outdoor techno event Awakenings Festival has announced this year’s line-up and proves to be all set for a glorious return in 2018. On June 30th and July 1st the iconic festival will descend upon the grounds in Spaarnwoude once again and has locked in a stellar line-up to join them.

Over one hundred artists will perform in eight different areas over the weekend for two jam-packed days of techno, presenting underground music from both ends of the spectrum. As per usual Awakenings Festival has gone above and beyond to live up to their reputation of groundbreaking production and stage design, particularly in the open air areas. 80.000 visitors are expected.

 

Key acts this year include veterans Carl Cox, who will be performing at Area V on Saturday and hosting his Intec area on Sunday at Area W, Adam Beyer performs in Area X on Saturday and takes his beloved Drumcode crew with him to host Area V on Sunday. Nina Kraviz plays a solo set on both days, as well as Sven Väth. Awakenings Festival will always offer a platform to the new generation of techno heavyweights like Job Jobse, Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte and Dax J. For the first time ever, Richie Hawtin will bring his special CLOSE concept to The Netherlands for a show in Area Y on Sunday. Other noticeable names on the line-up are Marcel Dettmann, Joseph Capriati, Kölsch, Maceo Plex, Ben Klock, Jamie Jones, Ricardo Villalobos and Seth Troxler.

Awakenings prides itself in their partnerships with leading global acts and this year’s Sunday at Awakenings Festival will see a variety of those. For the first time ever, Maceo Plex will host a Mosaic area at a festival. Carl Cox takes over Area W with Intec, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode plays host to Area V and last but not least Joris Voorn will once again invite techno’s top of the crop to Area B with Joris Voorn & Friends.
