Back in 2010, Insomniac gave birth to a brand new concept that was strictly dedicated to the Alice In Wonderland theme after Nocturnal Wonderland (at the time Nocturnal Festival) was more dedicated to the darker side of the rabbit hole and went in a new direction and far away from Alice. Thus Beyond Wonderland was born on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 at the legendary NOS Events Center. We saw Beyond take place at the NOS for three years till it was moved to a greener venue in 2013 giving life to a whole new concept of getting lost in wonderland.
With Beyond Wonderland’s absence in 2014, Pasquale Rotella and his Insomniac Events team took the city of San Bernardino by storm curating a new two-day, camping experience for the very first time for this particular festival. Beyond Wonderland 2015 returned to the San Manuel Amphitheater, rightfully so as it was the first Insomniac Event to make the transition from the usual ‘warehouse’ vibes of the NOS Center to the wide, green ranges of San Manuel, which saw Insomniac bring their biggest stage production to life at this beautiful venue.
Now, in a recent Facebook post from Pasquale Rotella, co-founder and CEO of Insomniac Events, Rotella has announced Beyond Wonderland 2017 will take place at the beloved NOS Events Center, just like the good ol’ days and where this festival orginally started at. No date has been set for Beyond Wonderland 2017 but we’re sure to hear news real soon as 2016 comes to an end.
Beyond Wonderland SoCal will see Alice and the Queen embark on a strange and wondrous new voyage, but is returning to its original home at the NOS. Not only will Dreamstate and Bassrush have their own stages for both nights, but as promised, we’ll be building a new outdoor structure for Bassrush so we can accommodate all you bassheads! – Pasquale Rotella
