Southern California is currently on lockdown in terms of their watch on illegal activity, and this year’s Beyond Wonderland harbored more of a presence from security than ever before. While the arrest number was high at 250 for trespassing, public intoxication, and possession of drugs, the rate of hospitalization was much lower with only about 20 admitted and released by Sunday of that weekend. As great as it is that illegal activity was controlled here, the main issue of stigma remains in the community…enough that this original report still brings up the death at EDC 2010 in a sensational fashion.
