In a tragic turn of events, tech house DJ/Producer and one of This Ain’t Bristol’s most renowned residents has gotten deported from the United States following his return from a recent European tour. Billy Kenny was detained at LAX after a marijuana pen was discovered in his luggage while going through custom. Billy states that he purchased the pen in Los Angeles, CA, where the recreational use of marijuana has been legal since voted on in 2017. However, this did not protect Kenny from Federal authorities as marijuana is still very much illegal under federal laws.
Billy Kenny and his team are working hard to speed up the process to allow him to return to the United States. Until further notice, Billy’s future US tour dates are cancelled and for those looking to see him perform, will have to catch him outside the US.
