Who remembers the “Oh, you mean Sonny?” days? Well, this is somewhat similar. One of the biggest stars in Dance Music today would prefer their non-stage name: Adam Wiles, known behind the decks as Calvin Harris. In an interview with British Radio hosts Boogie & Arlene, the Festival veteran was discussing his new single with Rag & Bone Man, eventually getting to the subject of what Wiles calls the other artist in the studio: “Do you call him ‘Man?’ ‘Mr. Bone?’” Of course, he just gos by his real name “Rory.”

“No one calls me Calvin. It’s horrible and it’s not my name,” the producer expressed in a recent interview with radio hosts Boogie and Arlene, of Boogie & Arlene’s Show. “At the start of my career [when] people were meeting me for the first time, I let it slide. It was sort of a nickname,” Wiles added.

They continued chatting to reveal something people(us included, full transparency) didn’t realize: his friends and family just call him “Adam.” This was all brought about when his girlfriend and he were arguing and finally he told her “You’re talking to my alter ego!”

Hilariously enough, many of us may never see the day where we can call him that; even the hosts interviewing him didn’t get a pass to call him Adam!

You can listen to the full six-minute interview via Forth 1.
