The American Music Awards is another music award show like them all unless your solely watching for any electronic dance music in there. Alongside Jack U winning the best collaboration of the year, the AMA’s crowned Calvin Harris as the best EDM artist. Nominees included Zedd and David Guetta, but Harris came out the winner in the end. His year has gotten a new spotlight other than his music from his relationship with Taylor Swift, but he still managed to get back to the studio and out of the bedroom. 2015 consisted of singles and collaborations with Big Sean on their track, “Open Wide,” “Pray to God” with Haim, and another dance floor track, “How Deep Is Your Love” with Disciples. From residencies in Vegas to world tours and record selling albums, Calvin has quite the music career. Maybe the award also goes hand in hand with being the highest paid DJ in the world… Now Taylor and Calvin can celebrate all their awards together lavishly!
