Upon watching the lyric video for My Way, elephants may be trotting around the room you sit in while watching. The new single from Calvin Harris comes at a key time in his own life(enough to have him sing on his own track), and he explains the meaning of the song with iHeartRadio:

“[The] song’s kind of about breaking out of a situation that you thought was a good thing. Then, you’re way more comfortable out of it. And it could be anything. It could be a job, or it could be a relationship. I had kind of the idea for the concept for a few years, but I didn’t know how to work out how it sounded.”

What’s interesting is that he speaks broadly about the ideas of the song as a way to help relate it to anyone, instead of going on about what has already been blabbed about in news headlines many a time. As far as what else Harris has up his sleeve for the rest of the year…he doesn’t. Other than a track he worked on with Big Sean that he hopes to have out by the end of the Year, Calvin’s going to lay low on releases. To be honest, this new one and This is What You Came For are big splashes in themselves, and sometimes enough is great riches.
