Cardi B is one of hip-hop’s biggest stars, but the New York rapper won’t be getting paid like it when she performs at Coachella this weekend.

During a Tuesday (April 10) appearance on SirusXM’s Hip Hop Nation, Cardi revealed she’s only making $70,000 per day, meaning she’ll end up with $140,000 for her two performances on April 15 and April 22. While $140,000 sounds like a nice payday for most people, the “Be Careful” rapper may actually lose money after spending nearly $300,000 on her stage set.

“I have to invest so much money on my stage set—my own money that I gotta go to Wells Fargo and write a check. It’s crazy. Almost $300,000,” she said. “It’s an investment.”

So, how did Coachella strike such a good deal with Cardi? According to the rapper, she was booked for the music festival over six months ago—months before the platinum-selling “Bartier Cardi” released and way before she dropped her debut album Invasion of Privacy.

Cardi also chalked up the small pay to her own ignorance, revealing she didn’t know how big of a festival Coachella actually was. “I didn’t know that Coachella was such a big deal like that, and I did not know that it was a lot of people,” she said.

When Cardi hits the stage this Sunday and the next, she’ll be doing so pregnant. After confirming her pregnancy during an April 7 appearance on Saturday Night Live, the rapper said she has no plans of putting her career on hold.

“I’m pregnant, but I have a game plan,” she said during an appearance on The Breakfast Club. “I just wanted to show people—not the critics—mostly people around me, ya gon’ have a job still.”
