As classic as one or two weekends under the spring California Sun has become, AEG, the company behind Coachella, are coming into the public eye on another new project. In collaboration with Superfly (responsible for Outside Lands and Bonnaroo), they plan on making a new festival happen in Denver, CO in 2018. Venue choice is still TBA, but from the sound of it, they have their eyes on the Overland Park Golf Course. Those who may be in favor or opposed to this venture have been invited to voice their opinion at a local elementary school; from there, the plans will be further locked down.

AEG, CEO Chuck Morris and his colleagues see potential — not just in run-of-the-mill stadium concerts, but in creating a festival experience with multiple stages and a bevy of musical acts, akin to Coachella, if slightly smaller, at least in the beginning,” reports Denver publication Westwood.

A new festival with experienced minds behind it happens to land in one of the first states with legal recreational marijuana; will this new venture feature new and innovative ways to consume the bud as well? This is just our hope, we’ll see what is in store soon.
