Sunny skies, ocean breezes, and beautiful people made for an unforgettable experience at CRSSD Festival this past weekend. Back again for the second time this year for their annual Fall showcase, the FNGRS CRSSD team executed another fun in the sun experience for dance music lovers at one San Diego’s most breathtaking public grounds venue, Waterfront Park. On any given day, the park area is just another tourist attraction to native San Diegans; that is until the festival’s three stages: Ocean View, City Steps, and The Palms; erect from the ground up.

2 days of CRSSD boomed house, techno, and all genres classy that echoed throughout the harbor and Downtown San Diego. Live acts like Bakermat, MNEK, Lido, Ta-Ku, and Zhu rocked the Ocean View, the festival’s largest stage structure where most of the live and highly recognized pop-culture acts performed.

Those who wanted to rinse their ear drums out and dance to the sounds of the underground could be found at the City Steps located right in front of the large administration building. World renowned DJs from all over the world brought warehouse vibes to their outdoor City Step stage such as Brodinski, Maya Jane Coles, Lee Foss, Matrixxman and many others.

The third and final stage at Crssd, The Palms, gave the attendees the first sounds of the festival they would hear as they entered the festival. It was here where the grittier and grimier sounds of house and hip hop bellowed out of festival speakers. Night Bass dealer, AC Slater, French G-House phenom, Malaa, the soulfully talented Kaytranada, and many similar artists of the same caliber brought swarms of festival attendees to the Palms stage.

Outside of music, the festival upholds a gold standard for amenities, food, and beverage with the highest regard. Whether you’re craving a fresh poke bowl or grabbing a fat slice from Spicy Pie or Napizza with your cold, craft brew, CRSSD had you covered from A-Z. With that being said, we’re ready to take on San Diego again for their next installment in Spring 2017. Festival season never has to end when you throw two festival series a year.
