Joel Zimmerman wears two different hats in dance music. His critically acclaimed mouse helmet aka Deadmau5 and a regular (black) dad hat as testpilot, a darker and minimal pseudonym compared to the edm-crazed former. As spoken in the mix below, Joel debuted his testpilot moniker at this past Movement Festival in Detroit, which unfortunately, ran into a few hiccups. Delays cut his hour and a half set short and even worse he blew a circuit breaker mid-set which caused an abrupt silence for 10 minutes.
Fortunately for us, Joel promised to upload the full intended debut on his BBC Radio 1 residency, which is full of music from Maceo Plex, Julien Jeweil, and of course unreleased/reworks for the master himself.
