XXXTentacion’s death was heard around thew world yesterday. Jashey Onfroy by birth, the rapper was shot by two men in an SUV in an apparent robbery at his own house in Florida. His final instagram post contained a message with chilling timing:
“If worse thing comes to worst, and I f—ing die or some s— and I’m not able to see out my dreams, I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive and to at least have a good life…If I’m going to die or ever be a sacrifice, I want to make sure that my life made at least five million kids happy or they found some sort of answers or resolve in my life regardless of the negative around my name, regardless of the bad things people say to me.”
Several artists spoke out in reacting to his death. Kreayshawn spoke out against comments joking about his death because of the allegations against the rapper for the charges in court against him. In addition to that, Diplo posted a testimony to him on Instagram. Both artists were from Florida, so this particular death hit home. As it turns out, the rapper encouraged he and Skrillex to finish their next album.
