Many claim that the rousing energy from Excision’s set was what caused the mixtape fire at the BassPOD at EDC 2016. Whatever the case, his monstrous taste in music has such a following they had to give him an upgrade to the Circuit Grounds this year. X surpassed our expectations again with an unparalleled slew of hits, remixes, and IDs that kept the insane arena going for what seemed like an eternity.
Today on Twitter, the producer revealed one of the tracks that got everyone going was an ID from him and Dion Zimmer, allegedly titled “Hoods Up.” the track drops and builds up at the same time, working up to an even heavier sequence that filters out at just the right time to leave us waiting for the official release. Excision’s “testing” period happened to be about a month ago, so we assume finishing touches are being placed as we speak.
