Flume, who had been silent and essentially disappeared during 2018, ended the year with an Instagram post promising to come back into everyone’s life. Fans immediately went from wondering where the Australian DJ was to wondering how and when he would reemerge back. Would it be through the festival scene? Would it be through new music? We could only wait and see.
Less than two weeks into the new year, we may have gotten it. Damon Albarn, the lead singer of Gorillaz, did an interview with Beats1, in which he mentioned that he has been in the studio with Flume. Electric Hawk tweeted the clip, voicing what we are all thinking what are we getting into with the possible collaboration? We know it has a potential for greatness, and mixing those two musical talents will release something like we have never heard before.
