Few bands have the power to look the same exact age as they did years ago, but by a miracle of science, the only thing that has changed about Gorillaz is the shading on their hair and clothing. This new look and sound that we’ve been treated too look to be bound for more than just their appearance at Outside Lands this summer.
In an interview with Q Magazine, the brains behind the project Damon Albarn spoke about his inspirations in the middle of rehearsals for the Demon Days festival that we already knew was bound for the UK- what the article then reveals is that the tour is also due to make a stop in Chicago. No concrete dates were announced by the magazine, but we imagine that information on this will come sometime within the next month.
Gorillaz have released six singles so far, with plans announced to not only play a few festivals this summer but host a special “Spirit house” that will further contextualize their upcoming album’s message.
