DJ MAG announced their newest list of superlatives in the world of electronic music, and many of the names that you’ll see below reflect those movers and shakers that got our attention in 2016 into the beginning of this year. While many may assume the list may only exist to re-shine a spotlight on Worldwide headline names, this list, in particular, gives credit to a host of hard working entities in the dance music world as well. LA’s OWSLA received the Best Label accolade, with the incredibly imaginative outlet Monstercat gaining the nod for best Breakthrough label. Eli Escobar and Lauren Lane also received Breakthrough awards for production and DJing, respectively, with Green Velvet and 12th Planet receiving the best overall reward. Finally, in addition to Brooklyn’s Output gaining the reward for the best club in the East, LA’s own Exchange in Downtown swooped the award for the best club in the West.

There are some all around great entities in dance music that could have gained recognition by the Magazine, but the ones in this list definitely deserve the bragging rights of being some of the best.

Who or what would YOU award these titles to for the past year? Tweet us @GlobaldanceElec.
