The world of Trance and Progressive is home to several dynamic new producers, especially Australia’s Marcus Santoro. He just reached a milestone in his own artistic journey with his first ever release on Armind, Armin Van Buuren’s own curated sector of Armada, with a single entitled Hijack.
The track darts out of the gate with thunderous triplets that could grab anyone’s ear. The short intro carries a strong amount of dramatic tension, giving just enough room for a DJ who needs time to mix the track in and enough activity to reel in the casual listener. Before long, the production eases itself into an orchestral breakdown that could easily fit in an action motion picture. These elements weave together to compose Hijack’s main climax; one we can easily see Armin himself dropping to crowds around the world.
Whether you’re letting the speakers at a set like that melt your troubles away, or you have it blasting on meduim out of your earpods on a break from work this fine Monday, we think you’ll appreciate the extra jolt of energy this two minutes and 57 seconds will provide you.
Hijack is out now on all streaming platforms, and DJs can grab the full mix on Beatport.
