How do you top one of last year’s most successful New Year’s Eve festivals? By making it bigger and better this year. Insomniac Events proudly presented Countdown NYE 2016 for its 2nd annual New Years bash at the beloved NOS Event Center where over 30,000 festival goers attended to ring in the new year. Countdown kicked off the evening with not one, not two, but three newly designed stages to celebrate the end of the old and beginning of the new with more than 30 dance music artists rocking the night with unforgettable performances.
In true Insomniac fashion, Countdown illuminated the night with mind-blowing visuals, confetti showers, and pyrotechnics. Festival-goers were greeted by enchanting stilt walkers and dazzling lights. Shining disco balls and star-based decor hung high on the ceiling in the Citrus Building as guests tried out the brand new ice skating rink and skated to groovy records courtesy of Cats n Boots. Insomniac introduced three incredible new stages: Resolution, Infinity, and Quantum hosted by BassRush, where DJs from all around the world took ahold of their respective set times and rung in a proper 2016 celebration for all Countdown attendees. From insane back-to-back-to-back bass sets procured by the BassRush family, to super-pumping sets of pure energy by DJs such as Yellow Claw, Carnage, What So Not, DJ Snake, Kaskade, TJR, and countless others; Insomniac rattled their beloved San Bernardino NOS Center venue with an unbelievable experience.
Now three days into the new year, we can only reflect on this past experience and look into the future for another unpredictable year of festivals, concerts, and shows that are sure to build off of 2015 and expand the age of dance music.
