Pasquale Rotella promised a revolutionary warehouse party experience out of pure excitement a couple of weeks ago, letting us know the date to mark on our calendars for Insomniac’s cleverly titled Factory 93. Downtown LA’s warehouse district is about to come alive for the first time since the early 90’s with the help of California’s most imaginative promoter. Today, the gift of music news is upon us and it comes as a delight to those who know the needs of this type of dancefloor. Hot Since 82’s own Knee Deep in Sound label will be kicking off proceedings of this series, the main course being a 3 hour set from the boss himself.

“I’ve loved warehouse parties since the day I walked into one as a youngster. The way the bass rattles the metal and reverberates through the walls, the condensation that forms on the ceiling from all the heat and energy in the room—those experiences changed my life and made me want to devote my life to dance music.” – Pasquale Rotella

Supporting him will be a back to back set from the artists responsible for one of the labels biggest tracks of last year, “Blade.” Santé, who is no stranger to underground venues after just playing a basement on Easter Sunday, and Sidney Charles, who’s biggest interest is playing venues that clearly support the underground sound. Joining them as a special guest is Doc Martin, who’s seen residencies at top Underground clubs in LA, New York, and Washington DC. We’d say these four acts combined will make for an explosive debut of this already buzzed about affair.

The new sounds of the old school will hit DTLA Saturday, May 21st. Get tickets below!
