Using a newly popular Kermit meme to reference a devil’s advocate, Chart Topping DJ Laidback Luke uses a new seven-minute video to reflect on his turning point to main stage anthems as opposed to the Techno music he began with. Though legends Tiga and Adam Beyer are shown to praise records that LBL made, raising the question too many people rush to assume the answer to why did Luke switch to main stage EDM?
The answer according to him was not money, and his explanation is based on the fact that he was disenchanted with Techno. Throughout the video, he talks about how he wants to play music that builds a giant community, and how (believe it or not), the main stage music was not as saturated and money-making back then as it is now. Though some may persist to disagree with Luke’s own words, the video presents a strongly supported case for a change many seasoned Dance Music fans and artists scoff at.
