With the recent tragic bombing at a concert in the U.K., Live Nation has beefed up its security measures, banning all bags from events. The company that puts on numerous festivals issued the following special notice:

“Due to enhanced security procedures, no bags or backpacks will be permitted into the venue except for small personal bags or purses (12″x12″x6″ max) or clear 1 gallon bags.”

“All bags will be subject to a search. We encourage you to not bring in any bag whatsoever and make use of the express ‘no bag’ lanes.”

The notice goes on to inform festivalgoers that CCTV cameras will also be in use at the event to increase surveillance and piece of mind. It would be assumed that these new security steps will take place immediately.

Live Nation festivals include Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, EDC Vegas, EDC Orlando, Electric Forest, Nocturnal Wonderland, HARD Summer, Governor’s Ball, Escape Halloween, Lollapalooza and more.

UPDATE: Camelbak backpacks and similar models must meet the dimensions specified in the notice and reservoirs must be EMPTY of any liquid

Nice Article. As one of the largest event security providers in the world we can’t stress enough how important event security is. Here in Miami there are countless of EDM festivals etc and we always run into promoters who want to be cheap with security. In 2017 you cannot skimp out on event security.
