Middlelands retains extremely positive reception from fans and the local community around the venue, but reports on what arrests were made cannot be avoided. There were 38 arrests made over the three day and night festival weekend, and Houston Chronicle has compiled all of the mugshots as well as charges made.

Several of these arrests seem to have been made for possession of controlled substances, marijuana, and intoxication. Luckily no deaths were reported, and despite some concerns about noise in the area, the response to the first-ever Middlelands was largely favorable.

Despite the many arrests, the overall response to Middlelands has been largely positive on social media, where people are touting the event as one of the best music festivals they’ve attended. Even those who camped on the grounds for the weekend reported a pleasant experience with no major incidents.
