As summer and festival season are well on their way, we have this very special electronic anthem that has the perfect summer vibes as we enter the season. American producer David Schoenwetter teams up with Muza & Gabe Anomaly on this infectiously, heartwarming electronic and hip hop fusion track, ‘Roots’. It’s a song about people who may have lost their way and deviated from their own roots as they explore and experiment with what the world has to offer.

Muza had been working on the project before sending a rough cut over to David, who fell in love with the concept instantly. Together, the two projects garner more than 5 million streams on their respective music platforms and are well seasoned veterans in the global music scene. Together, their production ‘Roots’ allowed both projects to take a step in a different direction musically.

“We’re out to make a new sound, something that touches on the emotions of the people that hear our music, something that pulls on the heartstrings. We want to show that electronic music can still be emotional, and can still be something of substance. The world is so superficial these days, especially in the realm of Electronic music. We want to bring the emotion back.

We’re both songwriters at heart, and so for us we’re always focused on the lyric and melody first. From there you have to find the right combination of sounds and harmony to support that emotion, that’s what everyone responds to.” – Muza & David Schoenwetter.
