The mass media turned their attention to the arrests made at Nocturnal Wonderland for various issues including drug sales, being under the influence, and indecent exposure. More than 400 people were arrested and two people were transported to a hospital over the three-day weekend as thousands descended on Devore for Insomniac’s 21st Nocturnal, authorities announce Monday.

The Nocturnal Wonderland festival, which began Friday, attracted fans to the San Manuel Amphitheater in droves. By 2 a.m. Monday, 428 had been arrested on various drug- and alcohol-related charges, and on suspicion of trespassing, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

On Sunday, the festival was attended by 25,762 people, the department said in a news release. Attendees were searched and had their identification examined as they began entering the venue at 4 p.m.

Authorities arrested 141 people who were trying to enter the concert grounds, for alleged drug possession, drug sales, assault and battery, resisting arrest, and being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the statement said.

As it stands right now, only one was hospitalized for sustaining assault to the face.
