Ottawa’s Bluesfest had a bit of an issue this past weekend, but we’d say Security had a harder time than the attendees. Several pictures from the event show multiple guards attempting to control a violent group of people on several occasions.
The video below shows attendees rushing the gate, and reports say that fans were consistently pushed to the front railing on the mainstage, to the point where guards had to pull people from the crowd for safety. Worse still, one guard claims he was attacked by rowdy fans who burst through another gate who threw rocks and full beer cans. “It’s like a war zone out there tonight,” a guard who chose to remain anonymous told YourEDM. People just want to fight us for some reason,” the guard said. “It’s crazy out there.”
