Insomniac announced the next venture in its rapidly growing radio series with an online dance music talk show, produced by the company’s editorial division, titled, Wide Awake Stories. Debuting Tuesday, October 4 at 12 PM PT, Night Owl Radio network takes a bold direction in storytelling, featuring intimate interviews from the artists and individuals who have contributed to the unique dance music culture, community and global festival phenomenon. Tune in to Wide Awake Stories via Insomniac.com, iTunes, SoundCloud and MixCloud on the first Tuesday of every month, and catch the series premiere, here.

Wide Awake Stories is an all-encompassing talk show that will explore a range of topics on what makes dance music culture so vibrant and special via exclusive interviews with artists and DJs, profiles on fascinating fans, behind-the-scenes content with the experience creators at Insomniac and more. Each monthly episode will introduce an original theme that is relevant to the electronic community today, bringing to light uncharted concepts in the talk radio realm.

The launch episode of Wide Awake Stories was in part produced and recorded at this year’s 20th Anniversary celebration of Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and explores the ethos of “PLUR,” a long-practiced credo within the electronic music community that celebrates Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. Episode #1 examines the myriad of ways in which Peace, Love, Unity and Respect permeate the dance music world, with special guest appearances from the accredited founder of “PLUR,” Frankie Bones, veteran DJ and producer, Tommie Sunshine, and members of Insomniac’s own sober-raving collective, the Consciousness Group.
