Twitter user @EmilyHausmann posted a video of some rather disturbing behavior at Governor’s Ball in New York City. The festival had to shut down in the middle of day 3 because of approaching severe weather. The official tweet was already met with upset festival goers posting angry replies and even a screenshot of the “rain or shine” part of the festival’s policy. While this type of response is expected, what we didn’t anticipate was a full blown riot. Seeing as the cancellation transpired on the last day, people didn’t get the closure they expected. Some rowdy partygoers who couldn’t party decided to take the intentional energy out on the venue itself…leading to a lot of unnecessary, unfortunate damage. As the Festive Owl says, this is one way not to get a refund.

Governor’s Ball has yet to release an official statement on the cancellation.
