Toronto-based producer Robotaki today makes his Foreign Family Collective debut with a new single “All I Can Do” and announces a forthcoming EP Anachronism.

Robotaki is the moniker of 27 year old Canada-born record producer Preston Chin. Originally getting his start with singles and remixes for artists like Phoenix, The M Machine, Daft Punk, and Empire Of The Sun, this artist project started to collect notoriety in the both the contemporary and avant garde electronic music scenes. With each release stronger than the last, Robotaki started gaining the attention of some of the biggest artists in the electronic community. After opening up for every North American show on Porter Robinson and Madeon’s Shelter Live Tour, Robotaki had finally started to arrive.

Now, global live electronic act ODESZA welcome the rising talent to their imprint Foreign Family Collective. In his new single, Robotaki shows fans the most evolved version of himself, one that has taken years to curate and refine; one that sees him trade featured vocalists for his own vocal performances. “All I Can Do” is a slow rolling gem boasting emotive sensitivity and a haunting message.

In Preston’s own words:

“All I Can Do is a song I wrote about finally coming to terms with the end of a relationship and saying goodbye to a part of myself that kept on holding on to the past. Sometimes you get so attached to the way you were with someone that when it’s suddenly over, you start asking questions that ultimately don’t have answers, or at least the ones that you’re looking for. Sometimes all you can do is move on.”

2019 will see Robotaki first hit the road with Big Wild and Mild Minds as he brings his singular live performance to New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Washington DC, Portland and more. Following those dates will be an eight-stop trot with San Holo and a grand finale with FFC label heads ODESZA for Camp Nowhere.
