Back in 2012 when dance music was exciting and full of mystery, Skrillex and Boys Noize had join forces to create a new side project called Dog Blood. The duo debuted their first single’s, Next Order / Middle Finger on August 12, 2012 via Beatport and iTunes. The song “Next Order” managed to reach #1 on Beatport’s Techno chart.

Skrillex premiered a new Dog Blood track on an exclusive OWSLA live stream to members of The Nest on later on December 21sr, 2012. The following year on September 2013, they released their second EP, which consists of the tracks ‘Shred or Die’, ‘Middle Finger Pt. 2’ and ‘Chella Ride’. The EP is composed of a further two remixes of “Middle Finger” by The M Machine & Millions Like Us. The song “Chella Ride” peaked at #1 on the Beatport Breaks chart.

Skrillex and Boys Noize have played countless festivals such as HARD Summer (twice), Coachella, Ultra Music Festival Miami, Lollapalooza, and the list goes on. It’s been years since we’ve last seen them tour the festival circuit and drop some of the heaviest sets we’ve witnessed in person.

But that’s all about to change as Dog Blood make their return for ONE NIGHT ONLY at this year’s HARD Summer 10th Anniversary. Dog Blood posted a photo on their Instagram signaling new material to come August 6th. Say whaaaaaa?

Whether this means just a single, an edit, or a full EP is up for debate. But one thing is clear: one way or another, we’ll be getting some new Dog Blood come August 6th.

It’s gonna be crazy seeing them perform once again at HARD Summer, which is now taking place at the Glen Helen Amphitheater & Regional Park (formally known as the San Manuel Amphitheater).
