“Hello Miami, We’re Swedish House Mafia!”
SHM is one of the biggest house music groups that consists of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso. In 2012, they announced their split and that they were doing one final tour in 2013 across the US. Their final performance was at Ultra Miami in 2013.
For the next five years, Axwell and Ingrosso performed together as a duo, and Angello worked solo. As the 20th anniversary of Ultra Miami came around the corner, rumors of a possible SHM reunion were amiss all over the Internet. The reunion was everything fans could have hoped for and was the perfect way to close out Ultra 2018.
Since then, SHM has been hinting that the reunion would be more permanent, and they confirmed this at Ultra Mexico this past weekend. Angello, at the end of his set, simply stated,
“Mexico, I’ll see you next year with Swedish House Mafia.”
Axwell also hinted that Swedish House Mafia is coming to Ultra Mexico in 2019.
World tour? Music festivals? Surprise renegades? While we don’t have those details, 2019 could not get here soon enough.
