Reports are coming out of Ansbach, Germany, where a suicide bombing has taken place. The intended target was the Ansbach Open music festival, where an audience of about 2,500 was in attendance. 12 people have been injured and the only death reported so far has been the bomber, a 27-year-old Syrian National. No reports have emerged on the intent of the bombing thus far.

At about 9:45 p.m. local time Sunday, security staff at the concert noticed a suspicious person wearing a backpack pacing up and down around the entrance to the event. The police statement said that the bomber “lingered around in the outdoor seating area of a nearby wine restaurant.”

Fortunately, the bomber was not able to enter the festival because he did not have a ticket. We will provide updates when they become available…
