Sun City Music Festival was bound to be a big event in Houston over labor day weekend on September first and second. Sadly, the festival’s promoter Disco Donnie Presents had to cancel the event because they felt that this year’s festival would not be the best experience for the attendees. They detailed their thoughts on a statement on Twitter:

On the bright side, this will not be the end of the event. In 2019 they plan to return to the Sam Houston Race Park on October 2u and 28 for a full tow day experience. Though they didn’t announce a lineup this year, for 2019 you can expect an artist roster equal to or better than their 2017 roster: names like Marshmello, Above & Beyond, Okay, Dress, Getter, NGTMRE, Joyride, and plenty others are sure to grace the stage next Fall.
