A fitting companion to the worldwide tour dates announced by System of a Down would be a full-length album from them, and after about 11 years, that reality will be here soon. According to the band themselves, there are about fifteen tracks that are “album-worthy.” While no date was quite announced yet, the possibility for a 2017 launch date is certainly in the realm of possibility. The band’s drummer John Dolmayan had this to say:

I want everyone on board and feeling good about it, that’s what we’re trying to accomplish right now,” he said. “There’s a tremendous amount of pressure on us, though, because it’s been 11 years – at least 12 by the time it comes out.”
