Pop legend Prince has been found dead at his home in suburban Minneapolis, his publicist confirmed to The Associated Press. He was 57.
“It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57,” publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said.
Prince was a singer-songwriter whose influence extended not only across the world of music, but fashion, movies and helped shaped the taste of the 1980s MTV generation. It was the ’80s that witnessed a prolific outpouring of albums and singles from the performer whose sound was a hybrid of pop, rock and funk, most often accompanied by blatantly sexual lyrics.

Prince influenced so many artists across the world just like Michael Jackson and left a huge impact on all of us. Thank you, Prince for giving us countless albums over the last few decades.
