Facebook’s Events feature has never had as much traction as it does now, with a strong integration into your feed so that you are more up to date on events. By the end of the month, you will be able to purchase tickets for certain Ticketmaster events right on the social media platform thanks to a new deal the two companies have struck. Starting before the month ends, people can immediately purchase tickets for a given concert without having to navigate to another website. As Ticketmaster VP Dan Armstrong states in his interview with Buzzfeed on the subject, there will be no extra charge for this more seamless experience.

“Millions of people on Facebook connect with their favorite bands, artists and causes to find out about events happening in their community. We’ve heard feedback from venues and artists that Facebook is an important platform for them to update and connect with fans. We’re excited to help partners like Ticketmaster sell more tickets via Facebook and to make ticket purchasing easier and faster for people.”

Look out for the rollout of this new update and don’t get too crazy with the sudden buys!
