As the ADE DJ Mag hype rests in it’s coffin to be resurrected next year with more shade to come from many a DJ(even from the top 10), another top 100 list has gone viral. Indeed, an FB page called Dubstep Online has shared their vision of who should be at the top from 1-100, including artists like Zed’s Dead, Eptik, and Excision at the top. Through a Dillon Francis lens, this is a bit confusing as well. If it’s a poll of the most popular DJs, why is Slushii at #92? As much as we understand the need to provide a customized list of great and high-achieving artists, it’s pretty clear that DJ Mag has proven it’s best not to rank everything. This is art at the end of the day; talk about what you like and don’t try to put your taste above anyone else’s.
