Sometimes, Sydney gets all the fun.
This rings especially true recently, as RL Grime and Baauer went b2b for two hours at Sydney’s Metro Theater.
That’s right. Two whole hours.
Playing to a small audience, the two trap legends made soul snatching history with this unexpected set that makes the rest of us wonder why we didn’t have a flight booked to the Down Under. They opened up with a mix of Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” and RL Grime’s “Era,” and it was only uphill from there.
While we are kicking ourselves for not having magical powers that could have told us this was going to happen, there is a silver lining to all of this. That is the power of fans, modern technology, and the Internet. Aiden Lynch recorded the entire set and posted it on YouTube. The saying, “Not all heroes wear capes,” has never rung truer.
