What exactly is Zhu trying to say in his Trailer for Nightcrawler?
In black and white, several women and dudes in Zhu jackets carry caskets into a graveyard; second shots reveal roses laying on the ground, before cutting to a shot of the following names crossed out:
Afrojack
Alan Walker
The Chainsmokers
David Guetta
Kygo
Marshmello
Steve Aoki
Zedd
While we’re glad there aren’t any bursting bubbles involved in the making of this film, we can’t help but feel there’s some sort of message like that coming out of Zhu’s later preview for Nightcrawler. And while this clip is incredibly short, we have a strong feeling that the full release is bound to carry a strong message related to modern dance music and the commercialism tied to it. This “Blacklist” that Zhu describes is to be explained in the full release, which will probably come out as quickly as news of this has spread. Watch the preview below and stay tuned for more.
