France just shut down another illegal rave in Cevennes National Parks. The event was held in a stint mountain top area and reportedly had 10000 people from midnight on Sunday.

The illegal gathering still had almost half that amount of people by the event’s end on Monday afternoon. While this specific region of France hadn’t been as affected by the pandemic as the rest of the country, local farmers took serious issue with the event. Not only did partygoers fail to social distance, they also damaged local crops.

France’s case count grew by 5000 over the last weekend, bringing their total number of cases to 207,000, with 30,000 deaths. In a meeting yesterday, president Emmanuel Macron extended the 5,000 person limit on gatherings until the end of October.
