Woodstock turns 50 this year…kind of. The legendary event started in 1969, but technically it has only had three iterations: the original that year and two on the showâs respective 25th and 30th anniversaries. The festivalâs founder Michael Lang worked in the shadows for the last year to revive the show in what could end up being a step higher than anything weâve seen.
âWe have definite plans,â Lang said in an interview with New York publication Poughkeepsie Journal. âIâm excited. I am indeed…These are plans. This is not a done deal yet. But itâs very close.â
After co-creating the original Woodstock â69 and two follow-ups in â94 and â99, Lang is bringing the iconic music festival back. Hopefully, in Bethel, NY where the inaugural event took place.
