Live Nation just announced ”Live From The Drive-In:” The first experience that could see several concerts that’ll bring live music back to society. In a 30 second video, one can observe the ideal vision for the event in regards to a prime party experience with proper social distancing. These events will have a space to park as well as an equally-sized half of the space to tailgate and dance around. Groups will be around others but still far enough not to risk being exposed to a virus. This first round of shows will be in St. Louis, Nashville, and Indianapolis. This isn’t your brand new “Car Rave” that you’ve seen around the internet lately as performers Brad Paisley, Nelly, Darius Rucker, Pink Floyd Tribute Experience El Monstero, and more will be in charge of the live entertainment.
Spaces for guests will be nine feet apart, meaning there will be even more social distancing in place. In addition to these protocols, all staff will be required to wear masks, and restrooms will have hand sanitizer. Food will be allowed inside, but it must already be prepared.
MASKS: All venue staff are required to wear masks. Concertgoers are not required to wear masks in their assigned tailgate area, however, we encourage guests to wear masks if leaving their space to use the restroom facilities.
SANITIZING: Each restroom unit is equipped with hand sanitizer and each restroom cluster has a handwashing sink. Cleaning staff will also be sanitizing high-touch areas before, during and after the show, with increased frequency throughout the concerts.
While the lineup is more focused on singers and bands, this model could work for a dance music event as well.
