His new position as “Hood Pope” indicates that ASAP Ferg is constantly challenging himself to pursue new ventures and is succeeding. Considering he’s now been a director and a designer among other things, it shouldn’t surprise us that he’s seeking new collaborations in the studio too. In his interview with Billboard he states that he and Sonny will be working on a track for his new album and we now all know what happens when Skrillex goes Hip-Hop.
“I got a crazy joint with Skrillex, this “New Levels” we’re gonna use to break the walls down for this new beginning, this new Trap Lord. I’m entering the Hood Pope now. I was the Trap Lord two years ago, I became the Hood Pope on y’all.”
