Best Buy has officially stopped selling physical CDs at stores nationwide. This past weekend, the electronics retailer will move forward from selling compact discs as a result of sales decreasing. According to ABC 13 sales were down 18.5% last year, a perfect example that showcases the power of streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and many others. While CDs have steadily become a thing of the past over the last few years, vinyl still serves as the perfect sense of nostalgia and will remain on Best Buy shelves for at least two more years.

Along with Best Buy, Target is also expected to reduce its amount of CDs offered in the upcoming months. Share your thoughts on Best Buy’s decision and let us know what was the first and most recent CD you purchased via comment below or Tweeting us @GlobalDanceElec.
