We are a little over a month away from San Diego’s fall CRSSD Festival. The festival, which takes place twice a year at Waterfront Park, is a two day, three stage festival that this September has the likes of Kaytranada, Portugal the Man, Yaeji, Amelie Lens, Shiba San, and more. Following La La Land, CRSSD announced that Green Velvet would be joining the lineup as well.

Under what won’t be at CRSSD though is fans. And by fans, we mean clacking.

Clacking is becoming more and more of a trend at shows and raves. Called “fan slapping,” by CRSSD, it appeared under their “Heavily  Discouraged” list this year, along with rave attire, fuzzy boots, and too much kandi.

We’ve seen the internet reactions, and there seems to be people who are excited by this, while others don’t care. CRSSD states that if there is any fan slapping, the person will be asked to stop, and then possibly asked to leave. Looks like it’ll be a clack-free weekend.

Are you happy about the news? Do you not care? Are you a clacker yourself? Let us know!
