While BET’s epic shade on Billboard’s Prince Tribute may have headlined the news, more may come from dance music’s biggest loudmouths today. Some of the most successful music of last year recently got additional laurels from Billboard yesterday, as their award show bestowed awards for three big dance categories. Zedd took home best album for True Colors, “Lean On” from DJ Snake and Major Lazer earned “best song,” and hot off his first Facebook live stream, David Guetta won artist of the year.
