Zane Lowe uses his explosion sound effect that signals a hit song often, but he doesn’t throw it around. In his interview with Diplo, the effect signals the quality status of Major Lazer’s new record, Cold Water. After playing the record again on Beats 1, Lowe probes a bit to see what we can expect for the newest Major Lazer album.
The answer? Diplo has little idea right now. Saying he’s juggling about 40 songs, Diplo mentions that he’s working with Travis Scott, Sia(background vocals on some songs, singing on a few “ideas), and Usher among other names. He did say he will make absolutely sure Wants to have Mø on the new record “as much as possible.”
