If you tune into A State of Trance, you know the Netherlands’ Ruben de Ronde for a couple of things: one, his charismatic nature in helping Armin Van Buuren host the weekly radio show and two, the impeccable taste that he has in making and curating the more progressive side of trance. We couldn’t help but catch his collaboration with Rodg “Leave a Light on Me” in the 2 minute mix of artists who will be cutting the ribbon on EDC’s first all Trance Stage, Quantam Valley.

Getting his start as an artist in 2007, DeRonde own his own imprint “Statement! Recordings,” with releases from a multitude of artists that get plays on ASOT, Above and Beyond’s Group Therapy, and several other radio shows in the Trance community. Embracing the progressive sound, he plays rich melodic music both at the slower end of the BPM scale and high energy music fit to fill an auditorium. Depending on his timeslot at Quantam, we could be treated to either shade of DeRonde’s m.usical catalog.

We highly encourage you to check out his set at EDC or see him play at Marquee Dayclub on Thursday before the big festival.
