UPDATE: At 4:16pm pst, MSO announced HARD will be allowing credentials (press passes) to qualifying media outlets for this weekends Day of the Dead festival.

“Due to interest and demand from media to cover the artists and performers at HARD, the organizers have revised their policy to now offer credentials to qualifying media.”

In a sad but understandable move, the hardworking folks over at LA’s HARD events have forbidden all media outlets from covering this year’s HARD Day of the Dead festival. No official reasons have been reported but considering after Live Nation agreed to place strict limitations on HARD and electronic music productions with a 40,000 capacity and strict 21+ rule, and reduce the festival’s hours as well, all in efforts to avoid the proposed ban of music festivals at all LA County-owned venues following the sudden deaths of Trucy Nguyen, 18, and Katie Dix, 19, at HARD Summer this year. All of the judgmental eyes set on the show itself, it makes sense that the blackout has been placed for this specific outing.

Stay tuned for further details as they come this week.
