DJ Joseph Capriati is in the hospital after being stabbed by his father, reports say.
The Italian techno house DJ who lives and works mostly in Spain had been living with his parents during the pandemic, which saw many people return home to be with their families during the lockdown. On January 8th, the two were said to have gotten into an argument. Capriati’s father, Pietro, stabbed him with a kitchen knife in the chest.
Joseph was rushed to the emergency room at Sant’Anna e San Sebastiano hospital in Caserta. His injuries were serious and could have been fatal and may affect his lungs long term. His condition is being described by local publications as stable, but serious.
Pietro was reportedly arrested for attempted murder.
