As federal stay-at-home regulations start to retire, a small handful of cities and even some stares are jumping the gun on reopening their economies. Missouri Governor Mike Parson is heading the charge for his own state, allowing concerts to happen in the state today, May 4th.

“There are currently no limitations on social gatherings as long as necessary precautions are taken and six feet of distance can be maintained between individuals and/or families,” the Show Me Strong recovery plan reads.

Retail stores and restaurants are also allowed open. Despite this, some venues are still waiting until the middle of the month to resume operations. “We are currently assessing the details of the announcement and the latest information from health experts,” Matt Gerding tells Billboard. As the owner of the company that runs local venue The Blue Note, Gerding is continuing the venue’s live stream schedule active until May 15th. “We hope to chart a path to reopening as soon as possible but have not determined the timing of that just yet.”

Kansas City, St. Louis, and Springfield are keeping concerts restricted this week as well, waiting for the data to show a decrease in new cases.
